Before You Buy – Sizing & Use
Sizing & Pot Compatibility
How do I choose my Bare Pot size?
Bare Pots are designed to fit common nursery pot sizes. To pick the right size:
Measure the top diameter of your existing nursery pot (edge to edge across the top).
Measure the height of the nursery pot.
Match it to our size guide on the product page.
Do I need to be exact?
No – there’s a small tolerance built into the design. If you’re between sizes, we recommend going up a size so the nursery pot slides in easily.
Can I use ceramic or other decorative pots inside a Bare Pot?
No. Bare Pots are designed for light plastic nursery pots. Heavy ceramic or concrete pots may damage the cardboard, especially when being moved.

Materials, Water & Sun
What are Bare Pots made from?
Bare Pots are made from cardboard with a printed outer layer. The board has some water resistance but is not waterproof.
Are Bare Pots waterproof?
No. Bare Pots are not waterproof. They can handle the odd splash if you wipe it off quickly, but if they sit in water or stay wet, they will warp or soften.
Can I use Bare Pots outdoors?
Bare Pots have been tested for indoor environments only. Sun, rain and humidity outdoors will cause them to deteriorate. A little bit of indirect light is fine, just like your plants but harsh sun and weather will shorten their life.
Do Bare Pots meet Australian safety expectations?
Bare Pots are made from standard cardboard packaging materials similar to what you see in retail boxes. They are not designed for food use or children’s toys. Use them for decorative plant covers as intended, and keep away from open flames/heat sources.
